At Docklands Studios Melbourne, sustainability is built into the way we operate:
In 2025, we continued our green journey by:
- Purchasing 100% renewable electricity from SEC Victoria, reducing emissions by an estimated 1024 tonnes.
- Recycling 7,008 drink containers, keeping resources out of landfill while raising funds for local creek restoration.
- Improving waste stream management across the lot, helping productions reduce landfill and recycle more efficiently.
- Even our buildings play a role: the Durra wheat straw panels lining our six sound stages are sequestering an estimated 1,700 tonnes of CO₂, locking carbon into the fabric of our facility.
In 2026, we will:
- Complete our Sustainability Master Plan as we work toward alignment with BAFTA’s albert standard, setting a higher benchmark for the Australia screen industry.
- Upgrade our central chiller to achieve a 10 to 12% reduction in power consumption.
